We create a lot of websites for clients, and for each site we create a favourites icon (favicon.ico) file, however after a while this became tedious, so we wrote this graphics conversion utility to take any JPEG image as an input file and have it automatically resize the image and create a 16px by 16px ICO icon file suitable for use as a favicon.ico.

Recently we decided to release the software as a product; and we hope you enjoy it and find it useful.

Features

• Takes any JPEG file as input and creates a 16px by 16px ICO icon file suitable for use as a favicon.ico for your website.
• Uses BiCubic resampling to ensure the created ICO file is of the highest quality possible.

Installation and Operation

• Purchase and download the zip file, and un-zip the contents to a folder on your computer.
• Double click the "install.bat" file to install the VB6 runtime files.
• Double click the "jpeg2ico.exe" file to start converting JPEG's.
